Just Magnolia Challenge - Masking

Morning all, happy Friday to you all…..boy am I glad that its Friday :o)

Today’s card is for this weeks Just Magnolia Challenge, which is Masking…….yes that’s right peeps, we want to see you making some delish scenes……and boy do Magnolia know how to make accessory stamps…..its one of the things I love about their stamps :o)……..mind if you have not got any Magnolia accessory stamps then you can us others, no probs……….you don’t even need to use an accessory stamp, you could mask 2 Tilda’s, or Tilda and Edwin together…….ooooh the options are endless LOL

I decided to use to images from the New So Jolly Collection, I love this sweet Tilda, deffo one of my faves :o)

Materials - All Magnolia LOL……embellies from Magnolia DT kits too.
Tools – Distress Inks, Glimmer Mist, Glamour Dust, Sewing Machine and MS Frond Punch

Such a cutie, totally adore her hair…….I remember my Mum used to do my hair very similar to this when I was a wee girl….mind I hated having it done, it used to get so nottie cos it is naturally curly LOL, ooooh and the brush used to get stuck in it LOL……

Below are all the flowers glimmered and glamoured!

Little Magnolia Box

Morning all, hope that you are well today and had a fabulous weekend! Its raining buckets here today, and really windy too :o(….Thankfully I don’t have to venture far today…..

Right today I want to show you another of the little gifts I made for the NEC the other week, I left this one with John and Barbro along with the little birdhouse. I am deffo going to be making loads of these this crimbo, they are perfect for little gifts of jewellery :o) The box is made using to largest scallop edge nesties die and then I made a little square box to sandwich between.

I love using these colours, so yummy. The image is one of the new xmas images from Magnolia and the papers are by Magnolia as well. The glitter tulle is and pins are from HERE. Flowers are from stash and have been glimmered and glamoured. I distressed the papers and flower edges with distress inks.

Just Magnolia Challenge – Mina’s Sketch

Morning all….well its my fave day of the week again….yaayyyyyyy Happy Happy Friday!

Today’s card is for this weeks Just Magnolia Challenge, and our lovely friend Mina has made a sketch for us all to follow. I decided to use one of my Magnolia stamps that I got at the weekend, I just love this sweet girl, her name is Christmas Morning Tilda…..how cute is she! I just adore her hair, so beautiful!

Think I have got a thing about blue at the moment, all my last cards have featured it LOL……I have some red ones coming up soon LOL…..

Right the majority of the stash that I have used on the card is by Magnolia, apart from the MS punches, gems and tulle {tulle and pins HERE}. I have stitched all around the edges and added lots of glitter to the edges too.

Above is a close up of this sweet image, her little headband should be like a gold colour, but it appears to have changed colour LOL….oh well!

I have added a little bit of tulle behind the flowers and I love the effect! All the flowers as you can see have been glimmered and glamoured LOL.

Christmas Eve Tilda

Good morning my fellow crafters! Hope your all fine and dandy today!

Today I want to share with you another sample I did for the show last Saturday! Loved making this card, as I have always wanted to make one which had a little secret door on. As a child, and probably even now LOL, anything with a little secret doors, draws or flaps intrigues me so much LOL…..just love anything small, fiddly and cute, hee hee! Little boxes are another weakness too, I am like a magnet to them……anyway I made this card with a little door on the front, was a bit tricky getting the catch to sit properly, but eventually I got there…..

The paper again is by Basic Grey, so need to find some more of this as I have ran out :o(, all the flowers are from stash and Hobbycraft. The lace is from stash and the pins are available HERE. Image and Holly swirl are from Magnolia Sweden, and the corner stamp under the flowers is by Stempleglade. I have coloured my image using Polychromos Pencils.

Here is a close up of Christmas Eve Tilda, I love Christmas Eve almost as much as Christmas Day. I think it is all so exciting, doing a bit of last minute shopping and I love the hustle and bustle of going in to town….mad I know, but I adore it, hee hee. I really feel cheated if I have to stop in on Christmas Eve LOL…….I come back in the afternoon and then make a batch of mince pies LOL, ooooh the smell is fabulous, I wish I could bottle it, I’m sure I would make millions……..an air freshener that smell of mince pies cooking …..OMG how cool would that be LOL

Here is a picture of the inside, the sentiment stamp is fabulous as it says Merry Christmas is lots of different languages, again it is from Magnolia Sweden. I stamped Christmas Eve Tilda again inside and cut her out with my nesties.

……and finally the flowers all glimmered and glamoured :o) The little butterflies are made using a punch that I have had years, years…..I love re-discovering old craft stash that has been forgotten….

Little Magnolia Bird House

Good morning all! Hope that you have all had a fabulous weekend! It is a beautiful day here today, a little cold, but the sun is shining and all is well :o) I have got to catch up on some chores today, the house needs some TLC, it has been a little neglected of late, poor thing LOL….

Right today I want to share with you a little Bird House that I made for my Magnolia demo at the weekend, which a gave to John and Barbro for having me………and believe me they deserved it having to listen to me rabbiting on all day, such a chatter box LOL… This little Bird House was so easy to make, there is a fabulous tutorial and template in the Magnolia Ink Magazine by Johanna…..{thanks hun, loved making it, your instructions were so easy to follow }. If you have not already treated yourself to the magazine, it is so worth it as there are some fabulous tutorials and ideas in it :o)

How cute is this……I loved making it and I think I shall be making more for Xmas pressies……. You’ll notice on the left hand side that the roof is slightly raised. This is because the lid lifts up and I have used a Velcro dot, but it was a little thick, so I must get some thinner ones for the next lot, so it sits flush. The roof does sit flat, if you follow the instructions in the mag, so don’t worry, LOL.

The little Tilda I have used is from a couple of years ago Magnolia Xmas release, she is still a little cutie with her little robin, hee hee……I have used her for other occasions too, just masked the little robin off and I think I stamped a butterfly there instead :o)…..I like to get the most out of my stamps ;o) There are loads in this new Magnolia Xmas release that you can use through out the year, just how I like it LOL. I have stuck to me fave medium to colour little Tilda in……yes you guessed it Poly pencils!!!!

This is the reverse of the Bird House, I have treated myself to one of those delish personalised stamps that are all about at the minute.

The yummy paper I have used is a Magnolia one, just love their papers and I came home with a cart load of them at the weekend, just too delish for words! I make this little Bird House with a shabby chic feel about it, and I love the look. What was so easy about this look is you don’t have to be too neat, as I think the not so straight lines adds to the charm…….well that’s my excuse and I am sticking to it LOL LOL.

NEC Update!

Morning all!

Well what a fabulous day I had yesterday at the NEC, the Magnolia Demo went like a dream and my dear dear friend Kim was an absolute diamond to demo with. It was the first time that I had meet Kim and she was a wonderful in real life as she is via the phone and email....thanks sweetie had a fab day with you...love ya lots, mwah.....so looking forward to the next....

Just wanted to say a massive massive thank you to all the wonderful ladies that I meet up with too, I met Kim, Jacqui, Rach and little Holly, Marcea, Bev, Marlene and little Cherise, Caz, Tara, Heather, Kim, Jo, Mel, Shirley, Bex, Trixi, Dawny, Tracy (Crafts U Love, such a sweetie, waving LOL) apologies if I have missed anyone,.......... girls you made my day perfect from start to finish, not laughed so much in ages, you just all crack me up LOL....I felt like I had known you all for years and years, and to get to meet IRL was truly amazing, I seriously can not wait till next time....love ya lots, mwah!

John and Barbro on the Magnolia stand were just the nicest people you could meet too, we had a good old chit chat about everything, and they are certainly busy busy people :o), and they made us feel so welcome, deffo will be back next time. The demo was just fab, loved every minute of it, was a little nervous to start with, went rather red at one point LOL, but once that moment was over I was OK! I have never felt so overwhelmed in all my life, the lovely lovely people that came to watch and chat to us was unbelievable.....I don't think I have ever had so many people stand watching me in all my life LOL.......my Leigh came to the show too and he said that he came to have a little secret watch of our demo and had to move away cos he was getting crushed LOL....bless his heart, he is such a sweetie. So thank you to ever one that came, it was a pleasure, my only wish was that I had had more time to actually make something LOL LOL, but it all went so fast, maybe next time, eh? I was really chuffed too, that the stamps, me and Kim were demoing with completely sold out.....well I was chuffed until I came to do my shopping that is and realised that one of the ones that sold out was one I wanted to buy LOL LOL, it was Tilda with Mistletoe, and Kim had stamped me some of hers out and I was using those for the demo, with the intention to buy it ......I shall learn, do shopping first LOL.

I am mad with myself as I hardly took any pics :o(, but I know others did so I am sure you will see them soon. I dread to think what I will look like as Friday I went and chipped my front tooth, and I felt very conscious about it......such and idiot, I was only having a drink and smacked the cup against my teeth....duh!

I can not believe that I actually came home with some money, there just wasn't enough time to get round everything.......I did come home with a massive bag full of Magnolia stuff, so watch this space I shall be driving you mad with Mags creations LOL........acutally I think I do that already LOL....

Just Magnolia Challenge – Monthly Tutorial Distressing

Morning all! Happy Happy Friday to you all! I have got Leigh at home with me for a couple of days, and hence no post yesterday LOL…..been chilling out together, which has been really nice :o)……………. oooooh not long now till I meet up with all you lovely ladies at the NEC……still feeling very nervous about my Magnolia demo, but I need to be brave, hee hee……..deep breaths, gal!

Today's card is for this months Just Magnolia Monthly Challenge, which is based on a fabulous tutorial by the even fabulouser Chris Dark * Waving @ Chris * . Chris’s tutorial is based on all different ways to distress your projects….truly fab you so have to check it out!

Here is what I did…..it felt weird distressing the paper edges, yet at one time I did this to all my papers LOL….funny how you move one, hee hee.

I have used those delish MME papers like I used on the little Xmas box the other day…..just love ‘um. Flowers are stash and Hobbycraft and tulle and pins are from HERE. All images are by Magnolia and coloured with Poly pencils.
